Les Monts d'Arrée results from the hercinian Orogenese ( Mountain formation) during Paleozoique time...This place was a valley in between Cournouaille granit and Leon-Tregord 's granit. Because the rock (quartzite) from the Monts d'arrée are harder they resist better to the granit....At the end "valley" become Hill..
