Texte du carnet: Day one
Woke up at 5 o'clock AM, drink a tea, catch some food in the fridge and start the Journey... Few kilometers after home, i have to seriously slow down on the road. The road is totally frozen, i have to drive very slowy if i don't want the journey stop now, in some curve i feel the van sliding . 60 kilometer per hour driving almost 2 hours like this....

Réveil à 05 h du matin, boire un thé, attraper de quoi faire à manger pendant le voyage et let's go...
Une poignée de kilomètres plus tard, je dois ralentir sérieusement. La route est recouverte de verglas , la brume a complètement givré la route. Dans certains virages le camion glisse, je dois me contenter de 60 km/h et cela pendant presque deux heures!

12h Lunch time in Cestas (next to Bordeaux) many many people are taking the raod to the south...

A midi je m'arrête à Cestas pour déjeuner, beaucoup de monde sur la route du sud ouest...

16h Teatime at Parlementia (Guéthary) Arriving there i almsot want to go in the water, Guéthary is working at 3 meters, just 25 guys in.
I call my friend Julien - he's living arounf guéthary, and he 's one of the guy that learn me surfing in serious wave- but he can't surf he's in La rochelle for the christmas holidays. I catch few nice picture of the wave breaking, drink one more tea and take the road again, to Spain...

16h J'arrive pour l'heure du Thé à Parlementia (Guéthary), surprise la vague de guéthary marche à environ 3 mètres et seulement 25 gars à l'eau, pas de section qui ferme condition très propre, en bref des conditions optimales pour surfer...
J'appelle mon pote Julien -qui habite tout prêt et qui m'a appris à surfer dans des conditions sérieuses- Il est actuellement sur La Rochelle pour les vacances de Nöel-. Je prends plusieurs photographies, un autre thé et c'est reparti ...

16h30 Driving thru spain, i did the same mistake than last year, i took the coasting road (expensive highway). Spanish are smarts they took off the indication of the free highway they just let the "autopista" one....

16h30 Conduire à travers l'espagne, j'ai fait la même erreur que l'année dernière; j'ai pris l'autoroute payante. Les espagnols sont malins, les pancartes de la nationale (gratuite) ont été retirées...

I've been driving until Salamanca, i just stopped two time to fill up the van and to eatsome sandwich...
I stopp driving at midnight, time to sleep....

J'ai roulé jusqu'à une aire de repos un peu avant Salamanca, juste deux arrêts pour grignoter et refaire le plein (1€ 28 le litre de diesel) ....Je stoppe le moteur à minuit, c'est l'heure de se reposer !
